Vineyard Rabbit

Wild Oak Vineyard - St. Francis Winery

2024

1/100sec at ƒ/7.1, ISO 100

Taken in a vineyard in the Sonoma Valley near sunset, this photograph is softly focused to capture the scene's tranquility. Jackrabbits are common when walking in vineyards, but they aren’t the only wildlife to be seen. I have often seen local fauna living within vineyards in many ways. This rabbit exemplifies how some local wildlife has adapted to living within vineyards as their haven. As this was taken a decent distance from the subject, I patiently waited until the light was cast in such a way as to highlight the elegance and tranquility of the black-tailed jackrabbit.
